High-Risk Pregnancy

A high-risk pregnancy is one in which the mother, fetus, or both have an increased likelihood of complications before, during, or after delivery compared to a normal pregnancy. This increased risk may result from pre-existing maternal medical conditions, pregnancy-related complications, fetal abnormalities, or social and environmental factors. High-risk pregnancies require closer monitoring, specialized care, and timely interventions to reduce morbidity and mortality for both the mother and the baby.
